The King's Port Inn is hoping everybody is enjoying the Spring season! The weather is warmer, the days are brighter and there is a newness in the air. This is a great time of year where we come out from the long winter and do more activities outside. Summer is just around the corner and there's lots to look forward to. We wanted to share with you some local events taking place this month:
1. Presidential Seaside Duathlon. On Saturday, April 29, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, the Kennebunk Rotary is hosting it's 25th annual Presidential Road Race. It's a beautiful race taking place in the seaside towns of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. The race begins with a 5K run, followed by a 16-mile bike ride along the beach and President Bush's Walker's Point estate, then finishes with a 5K run, on a smoothly groomed trail. 2. Spring Fling with Music by Fog Ave. Please join the fun on Friday, April 28th, from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm. at the Atlantic Hall, in Cape Porpoise, Maine. This event is a fundraiser for the new Mother's Wing at the Library. There will be a bar and light refreshments available. Tickets are $20 per person. 3. Puppy Training Class. There will be a Puppy Training Class on Tuesday, April 18th, from 5:30 pm- 6:30 pm. This is a four week class, every Tuesday evening. You will learn to train your pet using the lure and reward system to shape positive behavior. The class is for puppies up to 6 months old. 4. Brunch for Dinner at Federal Jack's. Federal Jack's is hosting a special Brunch for Dinner, on Thursday, April 20th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Hop in your PJ's and head down to Federal Jacks for their brunch buffet for dinner! This includes all the same great amenities as Sunday morning brunch, but this time you get to come in your favorite pajamas! We will give you 25% off if you come in your jammies!
