November Activities!

The King's Port Inn would like to wish everybody a happy November! The is a great time to visit Maine, especially the town of Kennebunkport. The weather is cool and crisp, and the feel of change is in the air . The leaves have fallen and the scenery is beautiful. We hope you get a chance to enjoy some activities in November. Even though we are off season, there are still many activities to be enjoyed in Maine. To name a few:
There is the annual league of Maine Craft Show, on November 5-6, in Wells, Maine. This annual craft show features over 55 vendors. You will find unique and one of a kind arts and crafts, pottery, jewelry, wood crafts, candles, fiber art, photography and more. It is a great place to start your holiday shopping! The Polar Express returns to Portland, Maine on November 25th, for another season of magical memories! There will be a festive atmosphere as guests on board meet the Conductor and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies. There will be a reading of the story as they journey to the "North Pole". Santa greets children aboard the train while passengers sing along to carols as they travel back to the station. The Ogunquit Playhouse, in Ogunqiut, Maine is still running "Million Dollar Quartet" up until November 6th. This a a great musical play that tells the history of rock and roll. It is based on the true story of the famed recording session that brought together Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. These four young musicians came together on December 4, 1956 at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions of all time.
