Summer Time On The Coast

This is truley a fabulous time of year to come and visit Maine now that the warm weather has finally arrived. There is so much to see and do here in Kennebunk / Kennebunkport this time of year. Weather permitting there are many outdoor activities just waiting to be yours.

Golfing, biking, kayaking, sailing, or just exploring what Kennebunkport has to offer. There are many shops and restaurants in close walking distance to us here at the King's Port Inn, and the Sun always makes these activities slighty more enjoyable.

* A great way to spend an afternoon in Kennebunkport in to relax in a comfortable beach chair at the Arundel Warf Restaurant. Located on Ocean Avenue in Kennebunkport, right on the water !

Day at the beach

The Sun has arrived and it's time to get out and enjoy the water. The next two months here in Maine are spent taking full advantage of our beautiful ocean front beaches. Located just one mile from us here at the King's Port Inn we are within walking distance of 2 miles of some of the best ocean views in all of Maine.

The Sun is out and what better way to spend the day than soaking up some rays at the beach. Whether it's building a sandcastle with the kids, curling up with a good book, or just jumping in the water to beatthe heat, the beach is the place to be.

While in town enjoying the fine sands take a load off and come relax at the King's Port Inn. We have Luxury King Suite with two person marble Jacuzzi available. Or if traveling with the family we have rooms with two queen beds as well.

And as always we serve a complamentary breakfast in the morning with waffels made to order !!!

Kennebunk / Kennebunkport Fireworks 2011 !

Every year at this time America gets ready to celebrate it's birthday, and Kennebunk / Kennebunkport are ready to celebrate as well.

There will be a great frieworks display on July 4th held at Kennebunk Beach. For the best view of the show it's good to arrive early because parking is limited. There are many other great places to view the fireworks such as the Arundel Warf Restaurant http://www.arundelwharf.com/ has a great patio and a fantastic menu, or another great place to see them is the jetti at Colony Beach. So whatever your plans, be sure to take time and enjoy the show.

Henry The 8th Kennebunkport

Perhaps the best hand-carved roast beef sandwiches in Maine. They only use Certified Angus Beef. Henry VIII also offers a large variety of turkey and pork sandwiches, wraps, and salads. And be sure to ask about their lobster specials.

We are fortunate enough to have our very own Henry VIII restaurant right here in Kennebunkport. They offer a very wide variety and tender menu, with some of the best deli sandwiches in southern Maine.

They are open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and are located just a short walk from the King's Port Inn at 3 Union Street, Kennebunkport, Maine 04046. ( right next to the Ben and Jerry's ice cream parlor ). Call (207)967-8882 to order. For more information you can visit them on the web at http://www.henryviiicarvery.com/

Henry VIII also has two other locations. The first is located at 15 Monument Square, Portland, Me. 04101, and the other at 400 Expedition Dr. Suite G, Scarborough, Me. 04070.
